The Wynford Schools have applied for ESSER III funds. ESSER stands for Elementary and Secondary School Relief Fund. The funds are to be used for school districts to catch students up academically due to lost educational opportunities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds can also be used to make school facilities healthier by providing better classroom ventilation, adding more space for social distancing, and any activity to make the school a healthier environment for our students to work in.

Wynford Local Schools will use ESSER III to help the district in our building renovation. This will not only give us better space for social distancing, but it will allow for better ventilation and a cleaner, safer environment.

The district will also use ESSER III funds to continue a before school program during the school year and fund our summer school program at the elementary. There are enough funds for the district to keep both before school and summer school programs going for the 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024 school years.
