What a great opportunity to select Freshman Varsity Track member Dekon Harper as Wynford's Male Athlete of the month. Dekon Harper is a freshman on the track team. He was a sprinter and pole vaulter. Dekon always gave 110% at practice and in meets. He had his season best in both running events at Districts. In the 100 dash, he improved by 1 second and in the 200 dash he had a 2 second improvement. Dekon really took to enjoying the pole vault and saw an improvement of 2 feet 6 inches by the end of the season. Great Job Dekon. As Athlete of the Month, Dekon has earned a T-shirt sponsored by Matthews Chevrolet and Pisanello’s Pizza. Congratulations Dekon and please keep up the hard work into next season.
