Crawford County Job & Family Services has received additional funding this year that will be used to offer school clothes assistance to eligible Crawford County families with children in grades K-12. They have entered into agreements with a variety of local vendors to supply a limited selection of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and gym shorts. Funding is limited to $200 per eligible child and is contingent on the availability of funds. Applications MUST be COMPLETED AND RETURNED by JULY 1, 2022. WHAT: This program provides up to $200 worth of clothing to each eligible school age child (K-12) for the purchase of school clothing for in-person school attendance.
WHEN: Applications will be accepted THROUGH JULY 1ST, 2022, but may be discontinued earlier if funding is exhausted. Applications will be processed in the order they are received and are limited to Crawford County residents.
WHERE: Completed applications should be returned to: 225 E. Mary St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. They may also be faxed to 419-562-7970.
WHAT DO I NEED? A completed and signed Back-2-School Wear Application (https://5il.co/1cwdl) - Applications must be signed by parent or guardian. They may need additional information such as income verification. If so, they will contact you. Please make sure you give them a good working phone number and/or email where they can reach you.
WHEN & HOW WILL I SHOP? If approved, they will contact you with all details. Each approved family will be scheduled to attend an “Ordering Day” at Crawford County Job & Family Services in Bucyrus. On this day, an order form for each eligible child will be completed and sizes confirmed. Order forms will then be submitted to approved clothing vendor. All orders will be delivered to Crawford County Job & Family Services and approved families will then be scheduled for a “Distribution Day” to pick up their orders. Items available include t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and gym shorts. Your child’s school logo may be available on some or all items.
1. Complete application and return to Crawford County JFS: 225 E. Mary St. Bucyrus or Fax to: 419-562-7970. If they need any further verifications, they will contact you. Make sure you give them a good phone number or email!
2. If your family is eligible, they will then schedule you and your child(ren) for a day to order items. This will take place July 7 and 8, 2022, at 225 E. Mary St. Bucyrus.
3. Distribution Day - Ordered items will then be distributed August 17 & August 18, 2022, at Crawford County Job & Family Services in Bucyrus.
