Wynford Kindergarteners took a Field Trip to visit Acres of Adventure today. The students had the opportunity to learn more about life on a farm and farm animals. This was a great extension to the Farm Unit that they covered earlier in the year! A special thank you to Mrs. Rose Hartschuh and her team for hosting us!
Third graders were treated to a planetarium event by HS Science Teacher, Mrs. Julie Rexroad, as enrichment while learning about Space in the newly adopted Reading curriculum, Wit and Wisdom.
The second module in Wit and Wisdom for third grade is Space, and students learned about Galileo and the Apollo 11 Moon landing.
The 16 ft inflatable planetarium also held a projector with discs projecting space images on the ceiling of the dome. Students viewed constellations, galaxy types, as well as the planets and sun. Rexroad explained the 11 year cycle of the sun and the Northern Lights. One student said the planetarium was 'spectacular'.
Second grade had so much fun learning about different types of farming in Ohio to celebrate Farm Day during Right to Read Week! We had guest speakers from Sunrise Cooperative, Hord Family Farms, Buurma Farms, Hartschuh Dairy Farm, and Eagle Nest Poultry.
For the OHSAA District Track Meet at Colonel Crawford HS on May 21 and 23, there will be a $5 charge for parking.
UPDATE - The Pepperoni Rollers from the the Wynford Elementary fundraiser will be delivered Monday, May 19, 2025. Pickup is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the south elementary loading dock and gym door.
Way to go Lady Royals! Next tournament game is Tuesday, May 20, at 6PM. The game will be at Shelby HS.

Congratulations to Boone Long who won the third grade Spelling Bee today! He was the champion of the top 20 spellers in third grade! The smart spellers went 26 rounds to get a champion!
Best of luck to our Lady Royals today as they take on Mansfield Christian in the first round of the OHSAA Sectional Softball Tourney. That game is at Wynford today starting at 5PM. You can purchase tickets online at ohsaa.org/tickets, or you can pay cash for tickets at the game. $8-Adults $5-Students.
Congratulations to the following Wynford High School Art students from Mr. Lillo's Art One classes, whose impressive black-and-white caricature pencil drawings are currently on display as part of a show at the Glazed Over Donut Shop, located at 119 West Johnson Street in Upper Sandusky: Aubrey Adkins, Chris Vaughn, Maddie Miller, River Bell, Elle Kanellakis, and Hayden Morey. Please feel free to visit the display and show your support for these outstanding students!
Second grade had a wonderful time at Historic Lyme Village! The village represents life in the Firelands from the arrival of the first settlers, in the early 1800’s to the early 1900’s. This made a GREAT connection to the Pioneer unit they completed earlier this year!

This is a friendly reminder that it is not too late to sign up for youth football camp, which starts tomorrow. It is for students coming into grades 1-6th. Go Royals!
The sixth grade concluded their Physical Science unit with Science Day. Students explored ways to increase potential energy while having fun with kinetic energy through a variety of engaging activities. The day was filled with events such as running races, a “javelin toss,” potato sack races, golfing, catapult launches, potential/kinetic energy races, and tug-of-war.
