Seventh-grade students have explored their Life Science standards by building aquatic pods in Lab 222 and visiting the Royal Woods. They found spider eggs, lots of paw paw trees, a pumpkin plant, beetles, a bird nest, and a host of other interesting biotic factors in the woods.

Wynford Elementary School's First Grade partnered with Crawford Reads 20 and local farmer and business owner, Jeff Schiefer, to bring a classroom book to life this week. "Waiting for the Biblioburro", by Monica Brown, illustrates the real life of a Columbian teacher who rides a burro with books three hours to remote villages for children to learn and grow. Mr. Schiefer shared his donkey with the students to pose as the "donkey librarian", and the Crawford Reads 20 foundation donated 80 books so each student could "check out a book from the "Biblioburro". WES is so grateful to these community partners to bring diverse learning opportunities to our students. Thank you!
