Wynford Elementary School's First Grade partnered with Crawford Reads 20 and local farmer and business owner, Jeff Schiefer, to bring a classroom book to life this week. "Waiting for the Biblioburro", by Monica Brown, illustrates the real life of a Columbian teacher who rides a burro with books three hours to remote villages for children to learn and grow. Mr. Schiefer shared his donkey with the students to pose as the "donkey librarian", and the Crawford Reads 20 foundation donated 80 books so each student could "check out a book from the "Biblioburro". WES is so grateful to these community partners to bring diverse learning opportunities to our students. Thank you!

For the volleyball game on Saturday, September 21, we had originally had that as a triple starting with freshmen at 9AM. We will ONLY be playing JV and varsity tomorrow starting at 10AM.
For the cross-country race at Buck. Cent. on Sat., Sept. 28, the start and finish line will NOT be at the HS, but at the sports complex where their football field is located. Also, admission is $5 /car with one person in the car, or $10/car if more than one person in the car.

A huge congratulations to Coach Powers and our men's golf team for earning the N10 Golf Tourney title today at Woody Ridge. This is the first time in league history where the boys and girls ' team from the same school have both won the titles. We are very proud of you all!!

Also, there were two text messages sent out today, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, around 2:30 p.m. to remind you about the picture days this week. One was sent from the new system and one from the old system.
