The Wynford Elementary spring flower sale is now underway until Friday, March 7, 2025. The spring flower pick-up day will be May 16, 2025.
This week, 9th grade students in Mr. Rabun and Mrs. Rexroad's physical science classes started their unit on stars, galaxies, and the universe. These students looked through the telescopes at the View the Night Sky event tonight at Lowe Volk Park to see Jupiter's bands and its Galilean moons, Venus in its crescent phase, and several constellations including Orion the Hunter and the Pleiades.
Wynford High School will be giving the ACT on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. All juniors scheduled to take the ACT should arrive at the high school at 7:30 a.m. and will be allowed to leave following the test. Students whose parents completed the opt-out form, please report to Pioneer or Wynford for classes as usual. Wynford Local School District was excited to host Congressman Bob Latta today as he toured Wynford Middle School and High School. Congressman Latta visited several classrooms and spoke with students and teachers. He also toured the FFA shop where he learned how students use the welding jig to create their stool projects. Wynford Middle School Principal Mr. Brent Konkle led the tour, accompanied by Wynford Superintendent Forrest Trisler, Treasurer Leesa Smith, NCOESC Deputy Superintendent Mr. Todd Martin, and Crawford County Commissioner Mr. Larry Schmidt.
